RONNIE STANFA

Ronnie Stanfa was born right here in Birmingham, Alabama. He started playing guitar at age 14 (a late start by some standards) but it was with the right amount of desire and discipline that he has become an accomplished guitar player. He recently received the Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Montevallo where his major was Guitar Performance. In addition to numerous ensembles and recital performances, Ronnie studied composition and theory under Professor Edwin Robertson and classical technique and jazz under Professor Marvin McCombs.

Before attending college he studied under Greg Thorson for ten years. In a few words, Ronnie is well trained! His musical interests tend to change rapidly, but he likes names such as Hendrix, Vaughn, Clapton, Led Zeppellin, Vai, Guy, Gibbons, Collins and King.
